I have an 02 4WD Explorer with about 115K miles on it.

I have an 02 4WD Explorer with about 115K miles on it. A noise from the rear end when the wheels are turning is getting louder and when climbing a parking ramp there is a lot of chatter from the front wheels. A new factory (not a rebuilt) transmission was installed in this vehicle about a year after I bought it.

Yes it does all of the above. There is a roaring sound almost like a prop plane engine coming from the rear like maybe bad bearings. From a dead start on inclines or when turning to park it feels like it is binding. Ford axed the dealer nearest me so I was at a loss on where to take it. I found a shop not too far away with high ratings among customers and editorial of the local website host so I am giving them a shot. Thanks.
