I have a 2004 Windstar. My son just backed it out of the garage and put kayaks on top. Now it won''t start - it clicks and the theft light comes on. What can he do?

Is the theft light just coming on? Or is it flashing?

If the light is just coming on, then chances are either the vehicle is not in park. or the battery is dead.

If the theft light is flashing, try tilting the steering wheel. However, the antitheft system doesn't normally stop the vehicle from cranking over, only not starting.
